In general, polishing granite usually takes a little more time and effort than most stones. Pictured here are photos of honed absolute black granite counters. There was a miscommunication between the architect and distributor. The customer wanted “polished” absolute black counters.
An attempt was made by an outside company to polish the counters. They failed. The company tried to do a ‘cheat’ polish by using an enhancer sealer. This left problems of streaks and excess residual.
The problem was corrected by refinishing and polishing mechanically by use of professional diamond pads and then sealed properly.
